Przez kilka godzin przeżywaliśmy radosny klimat ważnego kościelnego i ludowego święta. Własnoręcznie dekorowaliśmy łodzie kwiatami, gałązkami brzozy i tatarakiem. Płynęliśmy Wisłą w towarzystwie osób w strojach ludowych, śpiewających dawne piosenki. Otaczał nas piękny, naturalny krajobraz, owiewał chłodny wiatr i czuliśmy przyjemny zapach wody. Spotkaliśmy się z mieszkańcami drugiego brzegu rzeki, wspólnie się modliliśmy, słuchaliśmy koncertów i jedliśmy potrawy regionalne. Cały ten czas byliśmy częścią dzikiej przyrody i wiekowej kultury. Było warto.

Whitsuntide In Urzecze 2014

In a few hours of our life, we experienced the happy and joyful climate of a very important Christian  and folk holiday - Whitsuntide.  With our bare hands, we decorated the Vistula river boats with field and garden flowers, branches of birches and calamus sometimes called sweet flag (Acorus). We swam the river in the company of people in traditional folk clothes, singing old songs of the river of that time 100-150 years ago. Surrounded by incredibly beautiful  natural landscape, blown over by the warm wind of the coming summer and the fantastic smell of water. We have met people from the other side of the river, where we prayed together, listened to concerts, tasting traditional cuisine of people living near the banks of Vistula river. During that time, we were part of the wilderness and old culture of our ancestors. It was worth it!
